INTRODUCING A MYTHIC CONTEXT FOR A HOLMGANG
Nobody enjoys scientific terminology more than I do. And seeing science take an honest look at metaphsyics has been a pleasure. Experiences are valid no matter what the 'experts' say so we aren't dependent on enfranchised academia - - except for funding. Limits on the sources of funding are about to change.
It is possible to experiment with bringing a mythic context into the phenomenon of advanced perceptions of meaning. That is what I'm about to embark upon. For a background in history and the evidence of 'rightness' look up the history of the Holmgang. That is where we will go from here.
The homesteader, family person, and tribal warrior all live in my nature. Heroic narratives are from the past and we are living them today. When I was a boy there was a sense of story that was mostly about the drama of history that I saw being lived in the people still living in the society that I knew. Togetherness was a solid base that I did not entirely take for granted but there was a need to include myself in the world of action. Engagement with the drama of war and danger was where I placed myself. Games of adventure must always include the element of chance. There are no guarantees of winning or even survival. A solitary quest against all odds with an overwhelming force of the bad guys against me was one scenario. While I included myself in this drama there was a strong sense of the brotherhood of warriors who lived this duty and discipline throughout recent history. They have always had family to protect and a vital sense of purpose.
Overcoming danger and winning was the theme. This was not only in imagination. When skiing there was greater enjoyment when pushing the envelope of safety. Racing was always the goal and while slalom showed the greater finesse and style the Downhill had the most speed and gravity defying carving on the edge of strength and control. I was afraid of height but I would adventure at climbing cliffs. The war stories and comaraderie of surviving something we should not have been doing was part of the experience.
Risk to test one's 'luck' came naturally to me as conceptually important. Since learning about the esoteric history of my people I know more about how winning at a gamble is proof of the rightness of one's essential nature. We require challenges to prove we can pass the test and excel.
My holmgang is a temporary skirmish with people who hold the socio-political cards but are not relevant in a way of lasting significance. When the mighty have fallen their followers can still hold sway with an assumed paradigm at a local level. Accepted norms of political allegiance can be a daunting presence so my holmgang challenge is not without merit. Still, I recognize that efforts on what's important while completely ignoring the normies would be more constructive. My holmgang trip to the island of measurable data is mostly for fun. I see it as a reconnaissance mission into what the enemy is up to and how my own strength compares in matters esoteric.
I challenge the so-called 'resistance' to compare their predictive abilities in their field of fortune telling to mine. There is no saying who is 'better' based upon bias and segments of public opinion. The importance of this task will raise certain conceptual variables to the fore. Such as, "Is divining more effective when the stakes are raised on how critical the information is or does the Universe respond more cooperatively to a disinterested party? We could mention the 'high indifference' of Franklin Merill Wolfe as necessary for valid spiritual insight. Or we could engage the critical importance of Divination when it really matters. Here we could bring in the writing of Tacitus.
The works of the Roman Senator and historian circa 60 - 120 c.e. are relevant because of his living concurrently with the Germanic tribes he admired and writing as an outsider historian. He understood much about honor and real power. We will look at his works later.
The next post is where I venture into the Holmgang to see if the intensity of that endeavor leads to better results.

STOCK MARKET EXPERIMENT ON NOVEMBER 23
Using Rune Lots
Method of perceptual influence. I have intuitions about stocks that will do well in the economy. Some I follow because they coincide with my interests. There are also companies that I would like to see corrected. Some companies I hope will thrive. I assign a positive or negative number value to them depending on my preference. I then do a rune lot reading and record by numerical value how they are predicted by approximate rune value and sequence.
On November 23 I did a reading and sent an email for later verification. My original intention of testing the influence of 'preference' in results was not feasible because I could not find sufficient stock exchange listings for companies in the opposition. This will be possible later. However, most of the stocks listed are companies I intuited will do well or that I approve of. The exceptions are Facebook and Twitter because of their censorship and hypocrisy. I would hope the DJIA would do well but it looks like it will be down during this period. I avoided an end of the year prediction because of the volatility that such time markers can elicit.
To monitor my results please look at the closing stock quotes on November 23 and compare them to the closing quotes on December 14.
On December 14 there will be the following results in the stock market.

Remember, this is a prediction of the finishing order for a flight of five comparative teams. I sent a detailed email about the prediction process with differing results. I added a numerical calculation for posting here with more consistent predictions.
The methods of simple and complex readings did not have consistent
results unless I added the calculations by numerical value. Here are

PREDICTIONS FOR 2018 MIDTERM ELECTIONS
This is a reading completed on October 10, 2018. I used sortilege technique with runic sets.
For
the House of Representatives, it also looks like a tie and maintaining
the status quo. Republicans should hold their majority.
A state by state basis was lengthy and probably has some margin for error because of complexity.
Republicans win 27 Senate races
Democrats win 8 Senate races

3 Democrats
Confirmed duplication with sequence

For confirmation of the Senate races and an overall take on the House of Representatives, I used a more simple reading.
For the Senate the Democrats make it more close. A tie with no change is most strongly indicated. Republicans will hold.

PREDICTIONS FOR SEPTEMBER 30, 2018 RACE AT CHARLOTTE
About 4 days before the race I did a reading on the new roval race
on the track. It was a done deal with considerable lack of intuition or
for the concept and track. The sowilo rune described the curving back
and forth of the track design. I was curious about how these track
indicators would show up in the drivers reading.
I sent an email to detail the technical aspects of this reading. For purposes of this blog I'm posting a prediction. Theoretical and philosophical speculation later.

PREDICTIONS FOR AUGUST 5, 2018 NASCAR RACE AT WATKINS GLEN
This was using only three teams to select who would
do best. The experiment is intended to make a stronger personal
resonance and visualization. Formerly, the use of several teams might
have resulted in a hurried disconnect from any linkage to sortelege
selection.
